Trace through CRF enough?

Hi all, first time poster.

First year doing containers and I'm working in five gallon buckets with 5-1-1 with osmocote plus. My question is whether I can count on the osmocote to supply enough of the trace so that I can water with just a general 3-1-2 fert? I'm on a bit of a budget and foliage pro would be awful hard to justify to SWMBO. Growing Bell pepper and grape toms, if that makes a difference.
