Difficult Conditions (pic)

I struggled for years trying to find something, anything to grow in my window box which gets only the hottest Western afternoon sun. Lantana and purslane are thriving! |

| Then bougainvillea is also a likely candidate. Strong work! ;o) Al |

| I have lantana too, bought from a greenhouse and bloomed beautifully for a month and a half. Now I cant see signs of any more blooms - do I need to feed it? if so with what? |

| It MAY be a fertilizer issue, but it could be too little sun or another cultural issue, too. When you fertilize, fertilizers with a 3:1:2 RATIO (like 24-8-16, 12-4-8, 9-3-6) are probably the best choices, followed by those with a 1:1:1 RATIO (20-20-20, for example). Anything with the middle number higher than either the first or last number (so called bloom-booster formulas) are NOT. Al |
