Need some advice: Pumpkins in Half Wine Barrel, 511 mix?

Alrighty, so here's my set-up:

I've got two half wine barrels, and I've already drilled holes through them. They'll be sitting on a concrete backyard floor. I just read in another thread that the 5-1-1 mix would be a good choice for these containers. Should I go this route for pumpkins? This would be my first attempt at making the mix, so I want to make sure I have everything right.

- 5 parts pine bark fines....any tips on where to find this in San Francisco? All I've seen is Redwood bark.

- 1 part perlite

- 1 part sphagnum peat

- 1 Tbsp/gal dolomite lime....is this appropriate for pumpkins?

I've read information on growing pumpkins in containers using regular potting soil, and they recommend adding extra manure before planting. Do I need to worry about that with the 511? I mean, should I add anything else.

Thanks a bunch for any advice you can give me.
