growing garlic in fabric pots, anyone?

I'm looking for people with experience growing garlic in fabric pots so I can start to prepare. I'll be using a 5-1-1 version and probably growing a Creole type garlic since they should do well in my mild winters of SOCAL.

So if anyone has done this, I would appreciate sharing how things went and if you would do anything different.

No one? Well I guess i'm on my own. I'll try it and see what happens, then report back.

I didn't have much luck in pots, but fabric pots should work. Here I would have to protect the pots in winter, so it's easier to just grow them in the ground. I protect blueberries and stone fruits in pots. No more room left in the garage! Yes, let us know, although we are so far apart, the info will not help me much, but others will benefit.
