| Haha...Mom used to joke that she knew the cantaloupes were ripe when the deer took a bite out of them. I don't know how many times as kids we'd beg her to pick one and she'd say "Just a couple more days..." Next morning, every one of them would have a single huge bite missing. |

| Similarly, when all the figs are gone overnight. Or all the little pears and apples are pecked or bitten. I asked DH to put little socks on them, and he planned to do it when they up and vanished. The fruits, that is. |
