Container garden butternut squash questions

Posted by wingspings 5 (My Page) on

Trying to grow butternut squash in 5 gallon buckets. Noticed that as the flowers have died that the small 2-4 in squashes are now dying as well.

Not sure what is going on with this. Anyone with info on how to grow squash in general in containers would be appreciated.

Does it look like blossom end rot? If so, there is a calcium deficiency and can be corrected by a foliar spray.

It could be lack of pollination. That is a common issue with squash, no matter where it is grown.
