First Year Container Trouble

TylerC06

Please help, this is my first year in Arizona, and I started these container plants in April. So far they have made it through the summer just fine, but the past week I have been seeing droppings on the plants and small holes. This is most noticeable on the basil, but also is apparent on the tomatoes, jalapenos, and zucchini. I think it seems like there are small white flies, but I am not sure if they are doing this. Any ideas on a safe way to treat this without harming the plants?

Caterpillars. Very common, get BT, it's organic. Also, organic Neem works well for other pests. Everything is available at Amazon or Home Depot.
