How about a Brunfelsia, a citrus tree, or a christmas cactus?

The first two smell soooooo good while the later will bloom for you when all else is green...

If you can get those three to bloom indoors, you must have good light and adequate humidity. In that case, you might consider a large angel wing begonia. A friend of mine has one that is four feet tall and blooms off and on all year. It is staked to grow upward instead of spilling over.
