You want something inert (something other than limestone) Ideal size range is from 3/32-3/16. You're most likely to find silica sand at a masonry store, which will work very well if you can get the right size. Quartzite is another possibility.

I ran into the same problem with the manna pro. Turns out it is not packaged in a larger size. :(

I did find a usable grit at a sand blasting supply/grit gravel yard. But will have trouble getting it picked up.

So today I am going to call around and try masonry stores.

I've also read in past threads that some have found it at roofing supplies.
