More gritty mix questions

Posted by zenny_jo (My Page) on

I have only just learned about Al's soil mixes. I'm excited and I'm working toward putting some together.

What is the difference between Turface and Gran-i-grit? Another way of asking this is, why are both needed?

I'm guessing this has already been answered, and I apologize for posing it again.

Thank you!!!

Jenny

RE: More gritty mix questions

Jenny, the turface is a clay product and is used for moisture, nutrient, and oxygen retention in the mix. The granite chips do not hold moisture air or nutrients and are used for drainage in tge mix.
