Corn cob mix

I added some random amendments to compost to see which would be better for starting seeds of squash and cukes (already planning for next year).

The best result by far was corn cob slices! very unexpected.
I'll be eating a lot more corn this fall in order to save up cobs for the spring.

Here is a link that might be useful: Corn cob planting mix

Interesting experiment. I guess I will be saving up the cobs for next spring too. Thanks for sharing.
