Aweosme! I'm looking forward to planting them next year for the first time, would you mind telling me more about what you do? I remember you mentioning that you have them in buckets... I was thinking about doing the same myself. I'm interested to hear how you do it :)

Georgiii - I have several questions for you.

What size container did you grow that pumpkin vine in?
Was it self watering?
How many fruit did the plant yield?

I'm intrigued by your methods...

The thing about end of season gardens they always look such a mess. In that mess are three thirty foot vines, 3 cloning points ( 2 on one vine, one on another and one without). The main SWC is a combination of 5 gallon buckets with a one and a half gallon water space in the lower bucket. I post pictures on Photobucket under ChristianWarlock. I got 5 nice size pumpkins this way. Now if you look you can see the whole thing is growing on a tarp so there's no inground roots anywhere. The pumpkins here weren't really watered so well. They would have been much bigger. The really important thing is what I learned. I learned how to grow these same size pumpkins with only 10 leaves, so I'm looking forwards to next year.

I posted this picture before but I really wanted people to understand that this all was grown from just one 5 gallon bucket.
