So I have a big old bag of Napa Floor Dry, much more than I can use as a mix, and I was wondering if there is any reason I can't use it straight (not mixed w/granite & bark) for some of my plants.

Would it be good for starting seedlings? for rooting cuttings? For a layer in the bottom of my pots? I have limited space in my apt and my wife is already fed up with pots lining all available flat surfaces so finding a way of using up the floor dry and getting it out of our hallway would probably score me some points.
