Pine Bark Fined-Particle Size

If I go asking around for pine bark fines, I'm most likely to get blank stares. I need to know just how fine the bark particles are. How do you describe the particle size to the average counterperson?

Dust to corn flake size.
Dust to just smaller than a dime.

For the gritty mix:

1/8 - 1/4"
Special-K or raisin bran to corn flake size.

If you don't need gobs of it, you can get the perfect size fir bark particles by locating Repti-Bark reptile bedding at PetsMart or anywhere reptiles are sold. You may even be able to order it directly through the manufacturer, Zoo Med.

I buy the 10 quart bags, but it comes in a larger bag size, too. For the amount of medium I need, it's perfect. It's 100% fir bark, clean and dust-free, too... no sifting required!
