cedar as containers

question for all u pro's.. just started growing christmas cactus to use as gifts. When I get to the containers everything looks short of proper. Yes I can go and purchase expensive final containers but to me a natural looking container catches my eyes more so then plastic store brought. we do have cedar and my thoughts are building cedar containers for these christmas catcus.. will cedar hurt or damage plants.

No - it's a good choice & offers much better potential for optimum root health than plastic, vitrified, or other containers of non (gas) permeable materials.
