So I recently needed to pot up a bunch of fruit trees into 30 and 45 gallon pouches. With approx 245 gallons of mix, I just couldn't imagine mixing up that much 5-1-1. I've already made probably 300 gallons of the stuff and like it, but I wanted something I could just buy at the store.

E.B. Stone Cactus Mix has been mentioned off and on before, but I find it to be a decent substitute to 5-1-1. I bought my bags at two different stores ($11/bag, pretty pricey) and half the bags were more fine than the other which was really gritty with a ton of pumice. Check out the pic of the fresh stuff. I did mix in some of my older 5-1-1 mix and it seems pretty consistent with the E.B. Stone mix.
