Blasting abrasive

Black Diamond Blasting Abrasive, which is basically coal slag form off shore drilling, is something I have used in aquatic plantings for a while with good luck. I was wondering if it would be good to use for container soil mixes and if anyone has ever used it or a similar product before. The largest particle size it comes in is 5mm and a 50lb bag is about $7.

Titanium dioxide= 1.01%,
Ferric oxide= 19.23%,
Calcium oxide= 6.80%,
Magnesium Oxide= 1.47%,
Potassium Oxide= 1.60% and
Sodium Oxide= 0.62%
