DIY Container for fuzzy kiwi

I want to grow a fuzzy kiwi in a container on my patio. I already have three fuzzy kiwis running up three posts of my pergola and I have one post that is surrounded by patio, therefore I am considering using a large DIY, attractive, long-lasting pot. I can make a cement pot, but that would be very heavy and I am looking for a lighter weight material? Any suggestions for the pot material? How big should the pot be?
