| Hello gardeners, This issue has been kickin my butt for 3 years now and thats...How ya post pics on here?
Keep in mind that Ive changed from Dial-up to high speed, different ISP and all that...so my old photobucket wont recognize my new E-address.....so the frustration lingers on. Now, is anyone using another kind of photo-serving site? If so, please help....before technology kicks my A$%^ again this year! |
Follow-Up Postings:

| All I can say is that I am using a DSP with PhotoBucket. I suggest calling tech support at PhotoBucket. Either that or finding another image hosting site and starting over, setting up a new account there. Possibly you can just set up a new account at PhotoBucket, since it won't see your new address as a duplicate of the old one. Enjoy the high speed service. Jim |

| use the email addy that is registered with photobucket doesnt mean it has to be working email or search for the gallery here |

| Looks like you got it. First of all, although I have not used the others, I have seen the results on many forums and just do not think that they measure up to photobucket. I think that some of your problems were a result of moving some pictures around which broke the links (which would probably happen with any of the others too) like if your family moved off while you were at work and you went home and nothing was there, with no clue as to where they went. Photobucket automatically resizes pictures as you upload them. THEN, they have an edit function, then RESIZE, then select MESSAGE BOARD and tell it O.K. Your pictures will be the right size to post here, or on the other forums without having to try to do all that photo editing on your own. Nice lookin pepper plants in that little raised bed. That rabbit probably won't eat much pepper! ":^) |

| Good job Blane....got the photobucket working again? Dc's right - using the account it was registered to. There is a way to re-size pics in Photobucket too. Have to read the fine print for that, right below the picture. Gumby_CT |

| Personally, I would prefer that you put your pictures somewhere else and post a link for me if I am intersted, but that is just me. Among the advantages that are not pecular to me is the fact that the links can be opened in tabs and viewed later. |
|
| You can store your photos at PhotoBucket in a large size, and post it smaller if desired. Just include width= "nnn" height= "nnn" before closing the img src statement with > nnn = the number of pixels for each. For example, Gary's tree pic was posted at 1024 x 768, but here it is at half that size:
It's helpful to store higher resolution pics for certain purposes, and you can always reduce the posting size if necessary. You can't go the other way, however, without losing resolution. |

| Blane, I have three accounts which I pay 25 bucks each per year for the upgraded version without ads and banners. I have 500 pictures in some of the albums then start another album. Not all of them are that full, but I never move them around and rarely delete anything, but that is always an option if you do not mind broken links. I realize that different folks enjoy different things and some may spend more that that total amount on one fancy meal eating out (I have in the past, at a fancy Inn of the Mountain Gods where they come out and set stuff on fire at your table), but get a lot more pleasure out of what I am doing now so do not even think about the little dab of expense. There are many ways that I can be frugal and more than make up the difference, if I want to. ":^) And happy gardening and Happy Easter to Y'all. I guess that you will get this "Easter Spell" over there in M-I- Crooked letter,- crooked letter. |
