In our household we eat:
-- Red Potatoes with peelings boiled in cornbeef
-- Red Potatoes with peelings in potato salid
-- Eat out at a steak house that has red mashed potatoes with peelings
-- Eat baked brown potatoes, peelings and all
-- Eat out at a hamburger joint that serves very good potato chips made from potatoes with peelings
Yet many people would never ever consider eating potato peelings. My parents would have had a fit if one suggested any unpeeled part of a potato. I breakfast with seniors, some of whom will remove a french fry with a bit of peeling on the tip.
I wonder why. When did some habits change? |
