I found an index to AHS Plant Heat Zone Maps by State

Perhaps everyone knows about it. It is new to me. I see many persons listing USDA hardness zones when discussing vegetables and annuals. It seems to me the heat zone map might often be more useful.

In theory these should be 30 year moving arithmetic averages but it isn't clear if indeed this is the case.
