Need some help

Friend of mine has this plant that does not look like pumpkin more looks like yellow squash but she didn't plant yellow Squash. She has asked me what I think it cam be but looking at photo's of it I am unsure. The seed pack was pumpkin not squash and once she picked it and cut into it looks to be squash. can someone help us?

Did her other pumpkins turn out ok? To me judging from the size and skin tone it looks like an immature large pumpkin variety that would have grown much larger and would have developed a more "pumpkin look" if it were left on the vine to grow. Best guess.
