| Photo of the covered bed where I set out some transplants in mid-February. The 7-top turnip greens are the hardiest plants I've found so far; they're the green mass at upper right, with some smaller ones at lower left. Planted here are spinach, kale, red orach, and onions. The onions overwintered without the cover, which was purchased last month. Also planted some spinach and peas which are just starting to emerge. |
