Gotta Have It Sweet Corn

I grew some Gotta have it sweet corn last year and was very happy with it. The only draw back is the price, I have only found one source (Gurneys at over 50 dollars a lb.)
Is anyone familiar with it , is it available under another name or source , that is more reasonably priced?
Thanks in advance , Keith

Gardens Alive owns Henry Fields, Gurney and several other companies. The seem to have an exclusive. I suspect that the Thats Delicious vended by Henry Field is the same variety. There are a few small vendors offering to back yard gardeners, but they are more expensive than the Gardens Alive companies. You may want to look at Mirai 336 BC. It is not the same, but the Mirai varieties taste pretty good.

farmer, I'm surprised that Mirai tastes good. Another Mirai bicolor I raised was not very good.

Taste is subjective Wayne. I personally do not like the taste and texture of super sweets. So I rarely grow one. The Mirai to me has better texture and flavor and they produced better. Of course the variety I tried was really a synergistic rather than a true supersweet. Not my favorite, I prefer se, but acceptable as an extra sweet.

I too prefer the se+ corns. I have tried the newer synergistics and am still hunting a fully good one. Montauk was ok. I have heard about Obsession, but realize that those who say, "Boy, this is the best corn ever," may not really know many good corns.
