I think they need to come out of the plastic bags asap. It was probably the original packaging conditions which encouraged the mould in the first place. Fresh air and good watering practice usually sort out surface moulds. The spores are in the air all around us and only cause problems when they meet the right conditions i.e. warm and damp. The bulbs won't 'catch' mould as long as they are not kept in mould inducing conditions.

Ok only the adoaragus had mold but will the cinnimen have killed the mold.

I have no idea but imo the cinnamon is a side issue. Exposing the crowns to fresh air will defeat the mould, cinnamon or no cinnamon. Asparagus and bulbs are different beasts. The asparagus crowns don't have a dry protective tunic to preserve them and the bulbs would not have had damp medium around them either. Often the simplest solutions work best i.e. unwrap the crowns and let the air at them. Plant them asap. The mould will perish under the soil.

As floral said it is NOT fungus, it is just mold and no it is not going to "infest" anything. It is just a normal mold found in soil and it dies off as soon as exposed to dry air.

Well thank you :) this is why i love gardenweb. I was planning to plant them this sunday after i wash the roots (they are going to be used as an ornamental because i like asparagus leaves)

Where are you in zone 6 that you can plant anything now?
