| All: The past couple of years caterpillars (a couple of types) have beat up my sprouts....I tried picking them off and spraying with soapy water...results were minimal...does anyone have suggestions? |

| Bacillus thuringiensis, or Bt. You can buy it at almost any gardening supply store. Works like a charm. |

| Soap does nothing for caterpillars. Like Hamilton said, BT works wonders. Spinosid is also effective but has been known to harm bees. You can also do the truly organic method and plants plants that have umbrella type flowers such as dill, carrots, parsley, cilantro, allysum, etc. This attracts parasitic wasps which lay eggs into the caterpillars and kills them. Or, row covers. I'm just an amateur though. Kevin |
