Does anyone know of a good free interactive veggie garden planner?

Thanks!

Farmers Almanac and few other places run one. It's not free, but you get a 30 day free test run and they don't ask for a credit card so you don't have to worry about cancelling. If you don't want tp pay for it, just let the time run out.

I've looked at a bunch of them and have never found one that was intuitive and aggregated information behind my bed entries. So, as I mentioned some time back here, I've been designing my own with the help of a programmer friend who also gardens. Would love to find a few volunteers to test it in a few weeks when its beta version is ready. Any volunteers?

Scott - I'd be interested in testing your program when the beta is ready. Sounds like a great idea!

I've used the garden planner on territorial seed website. It's the only one I've used so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it's worked well for me the last few years. Not really free, but they give you the first 30 days free and don't ask for a credit card. I liked that they include spacing for both conventional gardening and square foot gardening since my garden has some of both. Once you start adding plants to your plans it generates a plant list with information like #plants, spacing and sowing dates (for your zone).

I like using smartgardener.com. Its free. There are a few addons you can purchase though that make it easier to do exactly what you need (like $5 (one time fee) for an addon that lets you use sfg spacing, or succession planting, etc).

Thanks to those who volunteered to test my beta software. It should be ready in a couple weeks and then I'll get back to everyone.

I can beta, as well, on a couple of platforms :)

Off to take a look at other softwares that were mentioned!

Hi Folks

Thanks for all the volunteers. The software still has lots of bugs. Should be ready for testing in a couple weeks. I'm aiming at having it ready for next season.
