Too late for celery?

I realized my seed order didn't include celery too late. I haven't grown it before, but I'd still like to try it this year. I only have about 8 weeks until final frost date in my area... is it worth it with that little time to work with? Does celery have good quality if harvested too young?

No, it is not too late, and it tastes good regardless. Mine has naturalized, and I do not plant it anymore. It emerges in early May.

I just started my celery seeds this week. I think it does best when the seedlings are not set out until early May, when the soil is really warming up.
