Sure won't hurt to try if you have more than 1 bloom. Each bloom is self-fertile but when inside, assistance can usually help.

But do keep in mind that the odds aren't good with recovering plants much less a single bloom so don't give up if the first one doesn't take.

You don.t need to do anything. If it makes you happy pat lightly with you index finger on the flower.
Right now I have an East Indian eggplant inside; It has already 2 fruits, the bigger one is the size of a small egg(Eggplant !). I did not pollinate it.

Yeah, 2 fruits already, prachi.
I sowed the seeds on 12/15/13, over 3 months ago. I fished the seeds from an store bought eggplant and wanted to see if they are viable. Luckily it is a dwarf plant.
