Growing potatoes vertically

I'm not sure that's what it is called, I'm looking to plant potatoes in a raised bed and add mulch or soil as the plants grow by placing additional frames on the raised bed base. I don't really have many details about doing this and I'm looking for a place to find a method of doing it? Like preferred methods and sizes of building the beds, what to add to raise the soil level (soil or mulch) and how to harvest.

Any guidance will be appreciated.

By the way, despite my forum name, these will be outdoors in the summer garden!
