Where do you folks get soil tests done? The garden center in Westminster that used to do it closed up. Bowman's wants to send it out. Anyone know of a local place around Westminster or even Baltimore,MD that does it?

The local county ag extension office does them here and in most states. If yours doesn't then the university extension labs do them. Just go to your state's AG Extension website - all states have them - for contact info for each county office. Dave

University of MD does not do it any longer. Ag office is no help. I'm going to ask the local farmer, he farms about 20,000 acres in three counties. I'm sure he can help.

Check out this link. U of MD Extension provides a chart for all the local labs that do testing and the costs (scroll down). Maybe it will help. Dave

I would suggest that you visit the University of Delaware's Soil Testing Program web site: http://ag.udel.edu/dstp/ The University of Delaware is one of the local labs that many, many homeowners, landscape businesses, and growers use in the absence of UMD lab. You can request a soil test kit on-line, and there is a lot of good information for homeowners listed as well.
