Big Lots is having a big sale on those hanging strawberry planters. They hold fifteen plants. So, I'm thinking they might make a good container planter for peas. My concern is, should I try to start the peas right in the grow bag, should I try to sprout them and transplant, or my other idea is put a piece of "loo tube" as the Brits call them (toilet paper roll) and plant the seed in that. I have a picture of what I have in mind. I'm nervous that until the pea gets some growth on it, the plastic slits might damage the stalk.

Hm, never saw those things before. I think the TP roll idea is the best way to go about it.

Topsy Turvy. They make a green one for tomatoes, you hang it up and the tomato grows out of the bottom. I'm going to use mine like a grow bag , tho. Set them of a raingutter set up, underwatered.
