What is your crop?

Spring:

I have radish, spinach, and swiss chard as a spring crop. I got them out early but with this weather it is like it skipped spring, went right summer!!:)

Summer:

I will have one cherry tomato, countless peppers of a few varieties(jalapeno/cayenne/habanero/hot cherry), some basil, everbearing strawberry and swiss chard are both from spring through fall.

Fall:

Another run of of spinach and radish. I like fall for growing spinach, I grow a lot and blanch/freeze.

Well, I would like to hear what everyone else is growing.

"are invasive weeds considered crops?"

I would not know anything about that, I grow in containers.

SneakyP:
How many square feet is your garden?

I am impressed.

I have to split mine between two, and maybe a third this year.

 o
RE: What is your crop?

Well done all! :)

I'm a novice vegetable gardener...

For winter I have brocolli, brussel sprouts, spinach, cauliflower and leeks - also some sweet bell peppers thats still going from september last year...

progress pics on my blog below?

Here is a link that might be useful: http://godsediblegarden.blogspot.com/

 o
RE: What is your crop?

It's been snowing all morning, with about 3 inches on the ground...so I guess I won't be planting spring crops this year! LOL

 o
RE: What is your crop?

RpR, I'm not positive on the exact square footage of the garden it is split up between two fairly large plots roughly 30'x40' one plot that is roughly 15'x20' for my crimson sweet watermelon five trellis sections that are each roughly 12' long for my cucumbers straight eights, sweet slice and sassy pickling, lil sweet cantaloupes and sugar baby watermelon, I also have three smaller plots about 10' x 12' for my corn sweet potatoes and Gurney's Giant cantaloupe and I am also using a 20' section of my chain link fence for my Athena cantaloupe.I am going to experiment with my Roma,Delicious and Big beef tomatoes using the single vine method using cable with string to wrap the plant with for support, the others will be in cages with some pruning of the suckers so they dont get extremely bushy and to promote better air movement.

If you ask me if I know what I am doing the simplest answer is "I barely have a clue" as this is only the second garden I have done. But I had some success last year with my first garden and it grew some this year but not by much.
. I caught a tree service next door and got an entire truckload of tree mulch to spread around my plants and that should help to cut down on the weeding,at least I hope so.

 o
RE: What is your crop?

Molex, what a question! In my garden, weeds are a main crop, I'm afraid.
