What variety of cucumber has the smallest seeds?

We had a multitude of cucumbers last year but the seeds were so big that we had to scrape out the seeds to eat them. We want to plant cucumbers with smaller seeds this year but don't know what variety to get.

Anyone know?

You harvested them too late.
Unlike melons, Cucumbers are harvested very young while tender , before the seeds grow big and harden. Same goes for summer squash/ zucchini. Ripe cucumber is just good for collecting seeds.

Also, pickling cukes tend to be crisper and have smaller seeds for their size.

RE: cucumbers

There are many options with cucs. You could go all the way to a seedless variety but you may not be happy with the price of starting seeds. Sweet Success seems to be a popular variety that won AAS status many years ago. For burpless picklers Ballerina, Picolino and Cool Breeze all have hardly noticable seeds.

Thank you all so much for your advice. It is much appreciated.
