Is it safe to transplant kale and other brassicas that have been hardened in April in Southern NY?

It should be. I'm setting mine out today, near Chicago

I set my kale and turnips out on April 1st in my high tunnel. They shrugged off a 24 degree F freeze on the second night like it was nothing.

Do I need to wait till my seedlings have their second set of leaves before I set outside?
