Planting Potato seeds what to do after is soil bad?

I have a garden and this year I am going to try growing potatoes. I have read various reports regarding the soil it will be planted in. I have 4 beds and 1 is usually lettuce, Basil, Parsley, 2nd, cucumbers, tomatoes, 3rd, tomatoes, leeks, onions, 4th peppers, eggplant. Now if I plant my 4 seed potatoes in part of the bed is the soil bad for next year?

No, the soil will be fine for next year, just don't plant potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant or peppers in the same spot for 3 years. You can plant peas, beans, onions, corn, lettuce, etc there. The important thing to do is rotate. Google crop rotation for more info and sequencing.

You could always plant potatoes in container for easier harvesting and to conserve on space.
