Grouping plants by watering need

My mind was blown by this quote from Dave [digdirt] in another thread:

>>

I never really considered that when laying out the garden and the soaker hoses, but now that I know about it, I'm not sure how to procede.

All my tomatoes are on the same 2 lines and all my onions and leeks are on the same line, so I'm not concerened about them.

My peppers and eggplant are on the same line with basil, parsley, and some zuchinni too. Is that ok?

What about broccoli? I usually have it planted on the same lines as other things that get planted while it's still producing in the spring.

Also, my peas usually share a line with lettuce (or broccoli or zuchinni).

Maybe an easier question is what plants can be grouped together on one soaker hose and what plants can't share a hose?

Thanks!!!
