something eating my bell pepper plant

Hi all...I'm a very novice gardener, and have started several raised beds this year using a soil mix of 40% compost and 60% sandy loam. I planted 3 bell pepper plants one week ago as transplants purchased from home depot. I noticed this morning that something has been eating the leaves of mainly the green pepper, a little bit of the red one. I can't see any thing on the leaves. I'm wondering if it might be slugs? I sprinkled some Epsom salt around them today. If any of you recognize this as something else I sure would appreciate some help!

Probably slugs or earwigs. Iron phosphate pellets for the slugs or a soy sauce/oil trap for earwigs. Go out at night with a flashlight to try to identify.

Dusting with agricultural lime will discourage a variety of chewing pests. But it's not real pretty.

A tuna can half full of beer always worked for me to get the slugs.

I could be wrong, but those holes look more like tears than chewing, just some environmental damage from the wind blowing a new transplant.

Thank you for the responses! Couldn't find anything crawling around at night, but I did sprinkle some epsom salt around the plant. That environmental damage may be spot on...we have had some storms here. Appreciate all your help!
