Potato leaf brown spots

We are growing some purple potatoes in our garden, and the plants are having serious brown spots on them. We did some research on the web, and the closest we came to was early blight. But the brown spots do not have concentric circles to them. here are pics:

Could it still be early blight, or is it some mineral deficiency, or other disease?

Looks more like Septoria or bacterial speck to me. Look at it through a magnifying glass. A gray spot and several black spots in the middle of the spots would suggest Septoria.

Here is a link that might be useful: Septoria leaf spot

taz6122: That's a great site I hadn't seen before. It's explanations help me see differences that have confused me in the past. Thanks!
