Hi I was wondering if anyone else in the area (Columbus Ga) was having trouble with their gardens not taking off this year. Me and a friend who has many many years experience with gardens are both having trouble with out gardens not flourishing. My cucumbers zucchini and squash are all very squatting bushes right now they are standing about a foot and a half y'all but the vines are not growing like they usually do. Plus they already have lots of blooms on them. My friend is having the same problem. she lives several miles away. My tomatoes are also lack luster this year very slow growth. What could be going on?

My garden isn't doing that well either. I rotated crops, watered and fertilized. Not the same as last year.

WHY ? Are you experiencing cooler season so far ? If yes, then wait a little longer. as experience gardener, You should be able to read your plants : What are they complaining about ? not enough food, ... too much rain, .... not warm enough ?

I live between Atlanta and Columbus. It has been a lot cooler here this spring than normal. We had a warm spell earlier and then much cooler temps. If I remember right, the high's were 65-70 for about 5 days. That is very unusual.

I live in Georgia south of Atlanta and my garden is doing fabulous. We've had a couple of cool snaps but nothing major to slow anything down. I had to replant a stand of corn that I started a week before Easter, but I blame it more on old seed more than anything. It's still not to late in the season to replant. Could use a good rain, but other than that so far so good.
