I'd say the risk of damage to moving them is greater than the risk of leaving them in place.

I'd just remember for the next season.

Um, maybe it's just me but I fail to see how a Brassica oleracea (cabbage) can be a problem when planted next to a Brassica oleracea (broccoli). The only thing I can think of is that it potentially allows pests to find them easier since cabbage and broccoli share the same pests. Not that pests need help finding the plants. I would leave them where they are.

P.S. I'm not a fan of companion planting. My own experiences contradict what different plants are "supposed" to do, whether good or bad, when planted next to each other.

Huh? I always plant my broccoli and cabbage together. Nothing bad has ever happened.

Ahh sounds like you bought into the companion planting fad. Don't worry about it. There are no problems with planting them next to each other other than they share some of the same pests. But the treatment is the same for both.
