| Someone told me you shouldn't plant melons near squash, but they weren't sure why, or whether that meant winter squash, summer squash or both. Is that true? (And why?) If it is true, is it true for both winter and summer squash? And if it's true, how close can you plant squash to melon without it being a problem? |

| Only problems I can think of. squash have large competive plants which can overshadow melons. They share common diseases like Mildews. They also share some insects like the cucumber beetle. |
