Artichoke in trouble

I have a 2 year old globe artichoke that is approx. 3 ft tall. Last week we had a bad rain and wind storm come through and my poor artichoke was left mostly laying on the ground. I have fenced it up, but is there any chance of recovery? Or should I cut off the down sections and hope for new growth?

Just let it sit there...it'll come back. I once dug one up and left it in the back of my truck before planting it at my girlfriend's house....it came back just fine after a week or so.
