What's growing in my veg garden???

| It's taking over my garden and I don't know what it is. It had to come from the cotton burr compost or bagged kow manure because it's no where else. What is it and how can I stop it.. Thanks! |

| Looks like crabgrass, sorry I'm not really sure what the best way to get rid of it is. |

| Thanks for reply. After looking closer..they are sprouting out of tiny red seeds.. Much smaller than grass seed. I'll try to post a picture later today |

| ? grass seed is very small. I'm fairly certain that is crabgrass... |

| Agree it is crabgrass but regardless of what weed it is, it is a weed and needs to be gotten rid of. A garden hoe works well just as with all garden weeds and from the looks of your soil in the picture it sure could use the work. Dave |

| Yes, not all grass seed is the same size. That's an annual grass of some sort. Anyway, you want to get those sooner rather than later. Small weeds are way easier to remove than big ones. |

| A hoe job...well said Dave. I have a beautiful volunteer Red Clover seeding, but it comes out. |
