| I had to scissor off a few pumpkin vines that had started to climb over my fence into the neighbors yard. I just made a clean cut and left the snipped ends open. I see a slimey/watery substance at the hole/end. Is this ok to leave open? Or should I seal it somehow? It's several feet off the ground, so no way to bury it. Just worried about pests/disease finding an easy way in. |

| Leave it. I trim off zucchini leaves all the time, they do that. They'll dry on their own. |
