I am a novice gardener who started with a plot in my community garden last year. I planted asparagus (yum!) at that time. This year, I was quite busy at work and got a late start with my garden. The asparagus was already very tall with ferny leaves, although I've been able to harvest some stalks. My question is, should I cut back the tall ferny ones now or later in the season?
