| The bag was unopened, but it's probably 2-3 years old. I am thinking that I probably shouldn't use it. Anybody know anything about this? Thank you! |

| It should be OK since ammonia turns into nitrate. |

| Yep... agree with wertach. You are OK.... The nitrogen is probably provided by NH3NO3 (ammonium nitrate) which does give off the ammonia smell. |

| Actually ammonia converts nitrites to nitrates and produces nitrogen which are both fertilizers. I give a yes vote as well. Jon |
