Bugs ate all the leaves, too late to save?

I went out of town two weekends ago. While I sprayed some home made bug repellent the bugs decided to eat all the leaves off of two of my three squash vines.

I thought if I gave them time that they would grow new leaves, but they have not while the untouched vine has been growing like crazy. But the plants themselves have not died either. I took a photo today after just letting them do their thing for two weeks, no changes but not dying either. The rest of the garden is fine, pest free at the moment. Should I just remove these vines or will they perk back up?
