I think I may of out smarted myself by planting three varieties of sweet corn. I planted two rows of Agway's butter & sugar (75 days), incredible hybrid (83 days), and silver queen (92 days). I don't think the days to harvest are separated enough. This gives me a total of 6 rows with 30 plants in reach row. I've been reading that cross pollination may cause poor ear formation and alter the taste and tenderness. Since these are all sweet corn varieties, will I be okay with the cross pollination, or do I have to self pollinate which seems pretty tedious? Any help is appreciated....

Next time, plant them in compact blocks, not long rows, so they don't have neighbors of different varieties. 6 rows across of each variety. Where you get taste problems is if you have "field corn" pollinating sweet corn. They have very different textures. Green field corn is good (Mexican treat called "elote") but not if you expect sweet corn.

Thanks. So, would you suggest just letting it naturally pollinate, or should I "force" pollinate?

This year, let the corn do its thing. Next year, change your planting strategy.

Concur. With those varieties, the worst scenario is that the Silver Queen will cross pollinate with the Incredible and end up a bi-color. As lazy gardens stated field corn cross pollination will adversely affect sweet. Even worse are super sweets (SH2) which will have the consistency of rubber when cross pollinated with regular corn.
