Frost Blankets

One really has to enjoy gardening to garden in Wyoming where we live at about 7,000' elevation - IMO. We can expect snow as late as April, May, June and even July and as early as August - haha. If we waited for the last frost - we would never plant a garden! We just have to plant - then protect the plants the best we can and hope for the best.

This time of year - mother nature warms things up and gets the blossoms out and then zaps them with frost and kills them dead! We have to watch the weather close every month - all it takes is one unprotected night to ruin a great garden. It froze last night and will freeze again tonight!

Thanks to these frost blankets - we can cover the plants and usually not loose our crops. We had to cover our Strawberries, Raspberries, Beans, Potatoes and squash. The rest of the warm weather crops are in the GH. Nice to have some cold weather crops that don't have to be covered - unless there is a hard freeze.
